Prayer for Ukraine
Please say this prayer to obtain peace in the land of Ukraine.
“Almighty God, through Jesus’ Divine Name and the Immaculate heart of Mary, we humbly ask for your mercy to obtain peace in the land of Ukraine.  May all the people of that country, especially kids and elders, remain safe from danger.  Please do not let chaos and war reign in the land of Ukraine but only a forever peace that comes from you.  Amen” Our Father; Hail Mary; Glory Be

Good Shepherd is in need of volunteers for the Sick & Homebound Ministry.  This ministry brings the Word and Eucharist to those who are unable to come to Mass.  Please contact Cheyenne Rewis, cheyenerewis@gmail.com for more information.
Wreaths Across America
In many homes across the U.S., there is an empty seat for one who is serving, or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Our mission is to Remember, Honor, and Teach all year long, far beyond the single day in December when we coordinate wreath laying ceremonies.
All throughout the year, Wreaths Across America works in a number of ways to show our veterans and their families that we will not forget.
We are doing our share at Good Shepherd through the Widow's Watch ministry.  You can purchase/donate a wreath at 1 for $15 or 3 for $30.  Make check out to Good Shepherd and put Wreaths on the memo line; can mail it in, drop off at the office, or put in the collection basket.
The Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary prays a weekly Rosary for our Youth to be protected from secular influences (as requested by Father Edisson and being continued as an apostolic work).  Please join us in this weekly Rosary either physically or spiritually.  Rosary date, time, and location will be posted on Good Shepherd’s website ever Tuesday morning.
Prayer for our Youth
Heavenly Father, we gather today to offer this Rosary for the protection of our youth against secular influences, whether it be from social media, other people, or even from ourselves.  We know that the devil likes to prey upon those who feel lonely, depressed, or overly anxious.  We humbly ask for your graces with the intercession of Our Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph that you aide us in this spiritual battle against all evil.  Help us parents, especially, to preserve the innocence of our children.  We pray that they continue to grow in their faith and love of you and to seek you out in times of trouble and confusion.  We pray that they have the desire to spend time with you in Adoration for that closeness and for your everlasting love and mercy. Amen.
May Mary, our Blessed Mother, hold you dearly in her Immaculate Heart.
Contact Michael Provencher 910-728-1267 or Deborah Aberg 910-489-8336 for more information.
Praying the Rosary
Want somewhere new to pray the Rosary?  We have many place here at Church that are perfect for focusing your mind on the Rosary.  As you come in the Parking Lot, on the left is a Rosary Garden, made and maintained by Good Shepherd’s Confirmation II classes since 2017. You can walk the Rosary as you pray.  As you leave the Parking Lot, on the left is the Mary Grotto.  This area was dedicated to the Church in memory of Father Bumann.  Two benches are available to sit while you pray.  We also have a Stations of the Cross Walking Path, located behind the gazebo.
Parish Evangelization
Would you like to help build the parish? Help the parish grow by inviting someone you know who has fallen away from the church to come to Mass with you one weekend.
Or invite someone new who is not Catholic. God is always calling new people to him and asking us to live out our baptismal call. What better time since we hear so much negative publicity about God and church? We might not be able to bring God and prayer back into school and our government, but we can bring people into the church.
